A lady called the office as she suspected her husband of cheating. Client believed he was seeing her very best friend, who's also married. Our client had been a bit suspicious just before due to the fact they usually flirted about each other and seemed to have private jokes. When she mentioned it to her husband he usually told her she was getting silly and that they had been just very good pals
. She was quite upset and she said it had taken her a couple days to pluck up the courage to call us. We reassured her that she was doing the correct thing and it could be much better to know the truth.She told us about her scenario and we talked about what alternatives she had. As the client knew when both her husband and friend were going out we decided to do a six hour session of surveillance. We followed the husband from work and sure enough he was meeting the friend in a wine bar. They were fairly intimate with each other and right after a couple of drinks they went to a nearby hotel. They should have pre booked a room as they went straight to the lift and didn’t come back down for a few hours.
We had been able to present our client with photographs of her husband and friend together and tell her about their movements more than the six hours of surveillance. Our client, despite the fact that devastated, was in a position to create an informed decision about what to do next.
After she had got over the initial shock of it all she filed for divorce and informed her friend’s husband of the affair. Her friend’s husband also filed for divorce. He had had his own suspicions of his wife’s infidelity for quite some time. They are now helping one another get more than the entire affair.
